Allen Ginsborg was one of the Rocky Mountain region’s leading experts on the retail operations that are the backbone of America’s consumer economy. Ginsborg completed more than 1,000 shopping center leases with a total value in excess of $1 billion, some 50 shopping center sales and more than 100 land transactions.

In April 2008, Ginsborg co-founded NewMark Merrill Mountain States to develop and acquire shopping centers in Colorado. Since that time the Company acquired, developed and managed more than two million square feet of retail space throughout the state. One of his proudest achievements was the acquisition of the Twin Peaks Mall, which was redeveloped into the Village at the Peaks, an over $100 million redevelopment which created an innovative gathering spot for the community of Longmont and the surrounding Northern Colorado area.

Prior to joining NewMark Merrill Companies, Ginsborg was co-founder and principal of Pacific Retail Partners, a leading California retail landlord and tenant representation firm that he co-founded in 1993. Under his leadership, the company developed or leased more than 15 million feet of shopping center space in California and Colorado. From 1993 to 2003, he represented Home Depot in its Colorado expansion, assisting the company with the establishment of more than 30 new locations.

Allen’s strong faith led him to live a life of service. He was dedicated to the I Have a Dream Foundation, and held board positions with the Alliance Defense Fund, the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce and the Long’s Peak Boy Scouts of America Council. He was a frequent speaker at the Colorado State University School of Real Estate and served on the State Program Committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Allen passed away in 2020, leaving his powerful legacy to his wife, children, and a thriving business community.
