In 1979, while a sophomore at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Nathan C. Thompson founded Western Automation, later renamed Spectra Logic. Spectra Logic is the gold-standard designer and manufacturer of innovative tape and disk solutions that provide ultra-high capacity data storage.
Spectra’s products are manufactured in Boulder, and sold and serviced world-wide. He and his family live in Boulder County and support many local and international charitable organizations.
