Rob and Carol Lathrop opened Louisville Rental Center in 1986, owning and operating it for the next 12 years (they sold it in 1998) and expanding it from two to 15 employees. In 1993, Louisville Rental Center was named Small Business of the Year the Louisville Chamber of Commerce.

For the past five years, Bob has represented Ward 3 on the Louisville City Council. He has served as president (one year) and as a board member (three years) for the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, as well as on the boards of First National Bank of Louisville, BankOne and Heritage Bank, where he currently is a director. For 20 years he was a volunteer for the Cherryvale Fire Department, serving as its chief for three terms.

Carol Lathrop has served as president (one year) and as a board member (six years) for the Louisville Chamber and co-founded the Louisville Leadership Class. Active in education, she was instrumental in the effort behind Louisville’s new high school and served as president for two years of the Foundation for Boulder Valley Schools. She is a former member of the BankOne Advisory Board and currently serves as a director for the Community Medical Center and Boulder Community Hospital.
