In 1974 Ron Cheyney was touring the United States on a motorcycle when he ran out of money in Longmont. He worked odd jobs for a few years before starting a typesetting business in 1978. The business grew and soon became Ron’s Printing Center.

During the next 27 years Ron helped many charitable organizations including Meals on Wheels and the Addiction Treatment Center of Longmont, served on non-profit boards including the YMCA, and helped shape the revitalization of downtown Longmont.

Ron is affectionately referred to as “Mr. Downtown.”
