In 1998 Ron began his tenure as Boulder’s City Manager. In 2002, he concluded his 29 year career in local government and became the President of the Boulder Community Hospital Foundation. In this role, Ron oversaw the major construction and fundraising for the Hospital’s Foothills campus. Under his leadership the Foundation’s assets quadrupled. He retired from the Foundation in 2015.

Post retirement, Ron formed a successful consulting business assisting many local organizations and non profits achieve their missions.

Ron has served as President of Boulder Rotary and as a Director for the Boulder Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Board of the Boulder Economic Council, Frasier Meadows Retirement Community, Via and was a Director for the Wells Fargo Bank. He currently serves on the local Advisory Board of the First National Bank of Colorado.
