Scott built Google Boulder into a 1,400+ person campus with Payments, Google Drive, Geo, Search, Chrome OS & Advanced Measurement development teams. He encouraged the addition of Google Technical Services, People Ops and Verily teams. Scott, with his Google team, worked on many community engagement efforts including Google investing $41.7 million in state-issued bonds to develop affordable housing in Boulder, Google’s sponsorship of the Boulder Museum, the free WiFi on the Pearl Street mall and the donation of space for the National Center of Women and Information Technology. During his 13 year Google career, he was an engineering director for Payments and Geo teams and he received Google’s Great Manager Award.

Scott was a member of the Boulder Economic Council and he serves on the Boulder Chamber Board of Directors. In 2018, Scott received the Virginia Patterson Boulder Business Person of the Year. Scott was the VP of Engineering for SketchUp from 2003 to 2006. Scott led engineering and was a key member of the executive team. Scott has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
