Robert “Bob” Gill and his wife Lois moved to Boulder in 1983, where Bob became president of the electronics division of Ball Aerospace.  Subsequently, he became president and CEO of ConferTech International. In 1996, Bob formed The Topaz Group to provide business consulting services, and he continues to be a strong supporter of the Boulder County high-tech, entrepreneurial community.

At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, Bob served as chairman of the board for the Innovation Center of the Rockies and chairman emeritus of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at CU Boulder. He is a trustee for The Indiana Institute of Technology and provides consulting services as a board member and mentor to the CEOs of several Boulder County high-tech businesses.
