What is the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame?

The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame is a private, nonprofit 501C3 dedicated to the encouragement of business excellence in Boulder County by recognizing and inducting Boulder County business leaders into the prestigious Hall of Fame. The website serves to shine the light on business leaders & encourage future leaders.

What data do we collect?

The data we collect falls into two buckets. One is website activity and the other is event registraton information.

We collect data about visits to our website, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring website. We also collect data about interactions with our website, such as the pages visited and the links clicked.

We collect information for the purpose of event registration. This includes contact information & preferences such as meal choices.  The contact information isn’t stored on our site. It’s stored by a ticket processor but it’s considered our data, not theirs. We also colect payment information. This information is not stored by us. It is processed by payment processors (e.g. Paypal).

What about embedded content from other websites?

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How do we use your data?

First lets say what we wont do with your data. We wont sell your data.

We use your data to track the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. We also use your data to personalize your experience on our website and to provide you with relevant content.

We use event registration data to plan and execute the events.

Who do we share data with?

We share website analytic data with Google, via Google Analytics. The purpose of this data is to improve the site useabilty. We use the gtag.js method. Here is a link with more information from Google about the analytics.

We share data with an ticket event processing company called Ticket Tailor. They use this data to perform event ticketing functions. It is our data. As a “processor” they have strict limitations on how they can use the data.

We share data with a payment processor (e.g. Paypal) They use this data process credit card transactions. As a “processor” they have strict limitations on how they can use the data.

How can you control your data?

You can opt out of tracking by clicking on the opt out of Google Analytics tracking link at the bottom of this page. You can also delete your cookies and clear your browsing history at any time.
