Terrence P. “Terry” Gallagher Sr. was born in his parent’s farmhouse north of Boulder in 1934.

Terry graduated from Boulder High in 1952, attended CU, and went to work for Oriental Refining in 1955. In 1974 he was named President of Asamera Oil. In 1984, Terry purchased Gasamat Oil; in 1991, he was instrumental in creating The Cigarette Store Corp., and in 1995 helped found Smoker Friendly International. Terry is chairman of all three entities.

Many civic and charitable organizations in the community have benefitted from the time and resources Terry has contributed.

Terry was married to Nancy Gallagher for 59 years before her death in 2014. Their five children are all active in the businesses Terry created.
